Sophie, our Support Worker, asked J if his involvement with Level Up Gosport had helped him with his interview at Costa. J shared that, “the experience significantly boosted his confidence, making customer interactions much easier, which was previously a challenge for him. His social skills have improved thanks to the camaraderie with other young people in the group and the activities in the WEXi programme with Hub4Stuff, which have made him more active and motivated. He is also grateful to Hub4Stuff for providing him with an employment reference.”
J’s volunteering experience at the monthly Gosport Community Cinema, where he gained front-of-house and refreshment-serving skills, has prepared him well for his new role at Costa. We are incredibly proud of J and delighted to celebrate his progression and success.
